Information for Parents
Do you close during school holidays? ❭
The centre is also open during school holidays but closed on statutory holidays. We are closed over the Christmas and New Year period.
Do you have part time options? ❭
We are happy to talk to parents about what part time options suits your situation. The longer hours we provide give your child more time to engage in our programme and our parents find that the hours make it easier to juggle home life and job commitments. We also offer morning or afternoon sessions; the morning session starts at 7:30am and finishes at 12:00pm and the afternoon session runs from 1:00pm to 5:30pm.
Do you offer any discount if I enrol my two children in your centre? ❭
Yes, we have a great deal for families who enrol more than two children at Harbourside Kids Childcare Centre. Parents will receive 20% off the total bill- so it really makes a difference.
Do you provide 20 ECE hours for my 3 year old child? ❭
Yes. Our fee structure reflects a commitment to providing quality early childhood education at affordable rate on Auckland’s North Shore. We are also delighted to offer "20 Hours ECE" so our parents can access the significant benefits available under the governments "20 hours" scheme.
What are your opening hours? ❭
The centre is open from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
What do I need to bring? ❭
Morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch are to be provided by parents. Please provide healthy, nutritious food for your child and label food containers and drink bottles, etc.
Parents will need to provide spare clothes that are named, a hat (summer or winter). A change of clothes is also recommended as children tend to get messy when they are exploring!
If your child requires any prescription medication, please inform the staff and we will record details of dosage etc.
What paperwork will I need in order to enrol my child in your centre? ❭
We are required by law to sight a copy of the Certificate of Immunisation. Please bring this with you on the first day. Also, a copy of birth certificate or passport is required so that your child can allocate a national student number by the Ministry of Education.
